Radiators and heating as well: Almaty runs on central heating from mid-October to mid-April, and we replace radiators, install thermostatic valves and lay underfloor heating. If your problem is not on this list, just describe it in the chat — if it involves water, it is our job.
Most plumbing services in Almaty work only in Russian or Kazakh, by phone. We built our process around WhatsApp specifically so that language is not a barrier.
Everything happens in one chat. You write to us in English — describe what happened, or simply send a photo or a short video of the leak, the blocked sink, the faucet you bought and want installed. Our support replies in English within minutes, asks a couple of clarifying questions and sends you a fixed price and an arrival time slot, all in writing.
This matters more than it may seem. When a price exists in a chat before the plumber arrives, there is nothing to renegotiate at the door and no surprise number at the end — a problem foreigners in any country know well. Your chat history is your protection: the scope of work, the price and the warranty are all written down.
On site, our plumbers speak Russian and use a translation app when something needs discussing. In practice the job is already defined by the time they arrive: they see the same photos you sent, they know what parts to bring, and the price is agreed. If the diagnosis on site reveals something the photo did not show — say, the leak is coming from the riser and not from your faucet — the plumber messages the new findings into the same chat, with photos, and no work continues until you approve the revised price.
After the job you get photos of the result, a receipt, and the warranty recorded in it. If anything fails later, you write to the same chat — the history of your order is right there.
The quote is sent in writing in the chat. It does not grow during the job — any change requires your explicit approval first.
Nights, weekends, public holidays. No night surcharge: a burst pipe at 3 AM costs the same as at 3 PM.
You get a receipt for the work and store receipts for every part we buy. The warranty is written into the receipt, not promised verbally.
We know the local building stock: Soviet-era pipes in Almaly, new towers in Bostandyk, private houses in Medeu. Different plumbing, different solutions.
All prices are in Kazakhstani tenge (₸). These are starting rates — the exact price for your job is fixed in the chat or after diagnostics, before any work begins.
Parts and materials are paid separately, at the store price with receipts shown to you — we do not add a markup hidden in the material. Payment: cash, bank card or Kaspi transfer.
In English. Describe the problem or send a photo or video. A message is enough — no call needed.
We reply in minutes with a price and an arrival window, in writing, in the same chat.
In 30-40 minutes for most of Almaty, with the right tools and parts for your specific problem.
The job is done at the agreed price. You get photos of the result, a receipt and a written warranty.
All eight city districts plus the nearest suburbs. Arrival in 30-40 minutes for most addresses.
Bostandyk district — the area where most expats live: Samal microdistricts, Koktem, Al-Farabi Avenue, the Esentai Tower area, Atakent. Mostly modern towers with good plumbing infrastructure, where the typical calls are appliance hookup, filter installation and fitting out new apartments.
Medeu district — Dostyk Avenue, the foothill neighbourhoods, Gornaya Street, Remizovka and the private-house areas up the mountain. Houses here have their own specifics: autonomous heating, pumping stations, longer pipe runs — we work with all of it.
Almaly district — the historical centre around Panfilov Park, Arbat and Zheltoksan Street. A lot of Soviet-era buildings with original cast-iron risers and steel pipes, where careful diagnosis matters more than anywhere else in the city.
Auezov, Zhetysu, Turksib, Alatau and Nauryzbay districts — the rest of the city, from dense microdistricts to new residential complexes and the private sector. Same arrival time, same prices.
Outside the city limits — Kaskelen highway direction, Talgar direction, the mountain resorts area — we come too, with a 3,000 ₸ distance surcharge agreed in advance.
Water damage in an apartment block escalates fast, and in Almaty you may also be liable to the neighbours below. Four steps, in this order.
The shut-off valves are in the bathroom or toilet, where the pipes enter the apartment — two levers, cold and hot. Turn clockwise. Find them today, before you ever need them.
If water is near sockets or appliances, switch off the affected circuit at the breaker panel. Water and live wiring together are worse than any flood.
Towels and basins under the leak, and take photos of everything — for the landlord, the insurance or the neighbours, you will want a record of what happened and when.
Emergency calls are prioritised 24/7. While the plumber is driving, support stays with you in the chat and helps you keep the situation under control.
If the valves will not close or the leak is coming from the riser (the vertical pipe shared by the whole building), the water must be shut off in the basement by your building management company — KSK or OSI in local terms. Our support will help you explain the situation to them, or the plumber will handle it on arrival.
The water is very hard. Almaty tap water comes largely from mountain sources and is safe, but it carries a lot of dissolved calcium and magnesium. The practical consequences: scale in the kettle within weeks, white film on shower glass, clogged shower heads and faucet aerators, and a shorter life for washing machines and boilers. Locals solve the drinking-water side with under-sink filters or reverse osmosis; for appliances, a simple polyphosphate or magnetic filter on the inlet helps. We install all of these.
Central heating has a season. Radiators in Almaty are fed by the city network roughly from mid-October to mid-April, and individual apartments cannot turn heating on earlier. Any radiator replacement or repair that requires draining the system is best done in summer; during the season it needs coordination with the building management. If you are cold before the season starts, the workable options are electric heaters or underfloor heating — which we install.
Risers are shared, valves are yours. The vertical pipes running through all floors (risers) belong to the building; everything after the shut-off valves in your bathroom is the apartment owner's responsibility. Why this matters: if a riser leaks, the repair is the management company's duty — but if your own ancient shut-off valve fails and floods the neighbours below, the owner of the apartment pays for their ceiling. Checking those two valves is the single most useful five-minute inspection in any Almaty apartment, rented or owned.
Older buildings, older pipes. A large share of the housing stock in Almaly, Auezov and Turksib districts dates from the Soviet period, and many buildings still run original steel and cast-iron pipes at the end of their service life. If you are moving into an older building long-term, a one-hour inspection of the pipes, valves and connections costs 5,000 ₸ and routinely prevents five-figure emergencies.
If you rent, agree with your landlord in advance how plumbing issues are handled — who calls, who pays, whether repairs can be deducted from rent. Most Almaty landlords are pragmatic about it; having our written quote and receipt from the chat makes that conversation simple.
Five calls we get most often from apartments in Almaty — what usually causes them and what the fix typically costs.
The toilet keeps running. A cistern that refills endlessly or trickles into the bowl is almost always a worn fill valve or flush seal — cheap parts, but they waste litres of water per hour and the sound is maddening at night. Repair from 3,000 ₸, usually done in under an hour including the parts run.
Low water pressure in the shower. In Almaty the culprit is usually not the building but limescale: a clogged shower head, faucet aerator or an old angle valve half-closed by mineral deposits. Sometimes it is the inlet filter screen. Diagnosis takes minutes; the fix starts at 3,000 ₸. If the pressure is low in the whole apartment, we check the inlet valves and the pressure reducer before blaming the pipes.
A smell of sewage in the bathroom. Nine times out of ten a dried-out or mis-installed trap (the U-bend under the sink or shower) is letting sewer air into the room — common in apartments that stood empty for a few weeks. Re-filling or replacing the trap costs from 4,500 ₸. If the smell persists, we inspect the drain line with a camera.
The washing machine shows a drain error. Usually a clogged drain filter or a kinked hose rather than a broken machine. We clean the filter, check the drain connection and test a full cycle — from 6,000 ₸, and considerably cheaper than an appliance repair call for what is actually a plumbing problem.
Water hammer — pipes bang when you close a tap. Loud knocks in the walls come from pressure shockwaves, often after a faucet replacement or in buildings with high pressure. Fixed with an arrester or a properly set reducer, from 7,000 ₸. Worth fixing promptly: repeated hammering loosens joints and ends in leaks.
Send a photo of the problem on WhatsApp — you will have a fixed quote and an arrival time in minutes. In English.
